Do I need a visible leak to have storm damage?
No, and this is the part that catches people out. Hail and high winds knock the granules off shingles, crack them, or lift the edges without a drop ever getting inside. By the time a brown stain shows up on a ceiling, water’s usually been working its way in for weeks.
