Out toward Route 4, Bear, Glasgow direction: mostly 90s and 2000s builds coming up on their first or second replacement. Builder-grade three-tab shingles at the end of their practical life. Predictable. Full replacement on a typical Newark home runs $8,500 to $16,000 (1,500 to 2,200 square feet of roof area). Most customers end up with GAF Timberline HDZ shingles. The houses along Main Street and around the University of Delaware‘s historic district were built in the early-to-mid 1900s. Some go back further.
